Hey! Thank you so much for checking out One Health Stories, a blog about One Health! One Health is an interdisciplinary approach to better human health by improving the health of our ecosystem. It is based on the notion that the well-being of human, animal, and environment is interdependent. For this approach to be successful, it requires collaboration and genuine effort from professionals in various fields of study.
My name is Eileen Huang, and I first encountered One Health back in college, where I learned about diseases shared between humans and animals (i.e. avian flu and Ebola) and how environment can facilitate disease transmissions. I am currently a health data scientist, and believe that data can positively impact human health. Hence, I started this blog to document and share my experience. My goal is to help people live a healthier and more fulfilling life using the One Health approach. Whether you are a passionate environmentalist, a busy healthcare professional, or an adventurous student, I hope you will find something valuable here.
Thanks again for stopping by and I look forward to hearing your feedback!
